With a very heavy heart, I share the tragic news that we lost our dearest old friend Ankur Kumar Das on May 6th, 2021 to the Covid pandemic. Ankur left behind his beloved wife Allana Naomi Briggs and their one year old beautiful little daughter Shania.
We were shocked and heartbroken when we heard the news of Ankur, leaving us forever on May 6th, 2021. He was only 45 years old. He had tested COVID positive and was admitted to Sakra hospital in Bangalore. He fought well, recovered and got discharged too. However while recuperating at home, he developed post recovery complications and had to be admitted again to the hospital. He fought his best but ultimately due to multiple organs failure, he unfortunately couldn’t make it.

Ankur was a warm and friendly, easy going person who loved his family and friends immensely. He was kind hearted and always there for others whenever anyone needed any help. He possessed a child-like curiosity about life and was always brimming with energy about things that fascinated him like adventure, food, road trips and cars. He grew up in Bhilai, studied his MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Mgmt, Pune. He had a stellar professional career starting with Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP), Symphony Teleca and then with IBM India.

Ankur was the sole earner for his family, and leaves behind his wife Allana and baby Shania. Today the family faces a severe financial crisis since Allana is a homemaker and the family doesn't have a steady and assured source of income to secure Shania's educational needs and growing expenses. We are looking to support Allana by finding her a job during these difficult times. We also want to secure a good foundation for Shania's education.
I am posting this to help raise funds to support their family expenses including the medical cost they incurred while Ankur was in the hospital, his current liabilities and to reserve some funds for the child's education while giving his wife some time to gather the strength to build on needed skills to join the workforce to sustain ongoing expenses.

How will the funds be used?
The funds will be used to pay off current liabilities (home loan, car loan etc.) for Ankur and also create a dedicated growing fund for the educational expenses of his daughter Shania. She is 1 year old and would need a good financial fund to support her education. We will also reserve some funds in a way to generate a monthly income for Allana (Ankur's wife) to support her household needs going forward.
How much money are you targeting to raise?
We are targeting to raise ₹ 1 CR. We’ve come up with this based on the current funds available to the family, their current pressing loans, and the expected expenses to ensure the children can get a good education of their choice in a professional university. We believe this is what Ankur would have liked to do for his child.
