Team Zenith represents MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, in SAE BAJA at national and international levels. We are a strong team of passionate undergraduates to design, fabricate, test, and compete for the most efficient and rugged all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The Team has carved a niche, every year, at National and International forums.
ABOUT BAJA SAE COMPETITION:
BAJA SAE is an intercollegiate engineering design competition, which is conducted by the organization of SAE where teams of undergraduate engineering students from all over the country compete to design, fabricate, and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harshest conditions of terrains. The Cummins College of Engineering’s Team Zenith has been participating in this event for the last 8 years. Each year, the competition is divided into 2 sections - Virtual and the Main Event. The main event is categorized into: 1. A Static Virtual Event –a presentation & question-answer round. 2. A Dynamic Event - an off-road event. In this round, the ATV is judged for technical tests like acceleration, brakes, maneuverability, hill climbing capabilities, suspension & traction, and a grand endurance run (all-terrain run).
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS: DONATIONS ARE APPLIED TO:
This year, Team Zenith has some big plans. Our new design will be built from the ground up with fully upgraded components. Donations to this year’s team will be used to buy the material and machine the necessary components to build the vehicle, as well as cover the funds needed to compete. In addition, we will be equipping the frame with a new braking system and drive train as well as an upgraded suspension and onboard data acquisition system. These improvements are costly, but they will give our team a competitive edge. We ensure to wear masks and abide by the safety protocols concerning pandemics to manufacture the car.
MEDIA COVERAGE: It is your love and support for us that gives us the courage to tackle all the hurdles and represent the young minds of Cummins College at such a grand stage.
