Muskaan Campaign
Need Support to start an initiative to stop Caste
discrimination

Synergy Sansthan is a youth led organization, co- founded by individuals who themselves come from urban and rural backgrounds.  Enables us, as an organization, to connect deeply with our target audience. Our organization has over 15 years of on- ground experience working on diverse issues across diverse demographics or region, religion, caste, gender and age groups. Our interventions focus on developing an understanding of citizenship issues and constitutions rights. Engaging young people in social action through projects, clubs, campaigns and voluntary work is a key component of all our interventions.
Udaan is a unique program for tribal girls in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh. The project vision is to empower our girls to dream big and be the change-maker. our girls have challenged internalized gender norms, stereotypical gender roles and biased behaviors.
Muskaan share :-
My name is Muskaan when I was seven-eight months old.  My maternal aunt took me to the maternal grandmother's side.  I completed my 12th from Delhi, my childhood was spent in Delhi, but I used to come to my hometown in Madhya Pradesh for some time and now due to my financial conditions  I came back from Delhi to my parents.
through Udaan Program, I got the courage and chance to focus on my dream and I went ahead and choose caste discrimination against scheduled caste (Shudra). We have been treated as untouchable and inhumane behavior by upper caste people. there have been many personal incidents with me where I was not allowed to step into the community temple because some upper caste people were worshiping in the temple. we are not allowed to access community wells and the taps have been removed from there so that we can not access the natural resource like water. this behavior from society makes us feel as we are unwanted here and we are the one who is impure.
such behavior not only creates our lives suffering to survive but also affects our mental health. that's why I decided to raise the issue of caste discrimination to help other people from the community who are victim of discrimination in free India.
My aim is to make the youth aware of such practices and work on the root of the problem with them So that today's youth can stop caste-based discrimination that is still existing here. discrimination caste, race, creed and sex have a long-term impact on an individual growth and society's development as they perceive such behavior as normal which is actually not normal.
we need to work with the community, in this sequence, we have taken the initiative of building an institution and understood such concerns and have been working on them. According to Indian National Crime Records Bureau“ Every hour, two untouchables are assaulted, every day three untouchable women are raped, two untouchable homes are torched.
we can not change the thinking of the older generation but we can take initiative with smaller steps to bring change in the mindset of people. As a new generation, we need to understand that such stereotype is harming our harmony and growth. everyone should know about their the laws, these people should be aware of their rights and  opportunities.
My project program aims to build child advocates who are below 18 years. for a 1-year plan, I will be focusing on the 40–50 students. Conducting workshops, dramas providing them free space to discuss and a door-to-door visit to make children aware of their rights. We will be required a budget of 1 lakh INR for a year to spend 2,000 INR on each of the 50 student.
