Since, childhood, I have seen my mother getting involved in a lot of social activities which made me realise the importance and power of giving and helping whenever its possible.
A school with the name of Rashtrahit Vidyalaya was started with a vision to educate the children belonging to underprivileged section of the society. It started with a handful of students belonging to the slum area in Sukhrali
Enclave and is now providing preliminary education to approximately 500 students.
The school is running on donations and all the expenses are being managed via the funds so received.
Why we need funds?
With the increase in number of students and on account of expansion of the school, two buildings have been taken on rent. To keep the same running we require funds for payment of such rent and other expenses such as salary of the school teachers, books and stationery, maintenance of classrooms, uniforms, meals etc.
We need your help to retain the school buildings till the time we can obtain greater support from other sources.
Only the rent for the buildings is Rs. 39,000 per month and including maintenance the total infrastructure cost comes out to approximately Rs. 50,000 per month.
In Phase 1, we are aiming to raise funds for an interim period of 4 months that will cater to infrastructural requirements of the school.
Hence, request your support in helping these kids secure a fundamentally constitutional right i.e. right to education.
