This is to raise funds for, Suresh Honnappa Naik who is suffering from Metastatic Carcinoma prostate which means that cancer that started as prostate cancer has spread to other parts of the body. He is undergoing treatment at A.J.Hospital and Research center, Mangalore.

Suresh is an unmarried man of 60 and was taking care of his aged Mother, widowed sisters, and an unmarried sister. He is also taking care of a boy who is 13 years old now. Suresh was the lone earning member of this family of 6 and all his income has stopped at the moment due to his illness. He was running a small hotel in Tadri, a small village on the west coast of Karnataka. Due to cancer, he had to close the hotel as he could not afford to run it.

The large family was solely dependent on Suresh and the income he made from the hotel. Suresh is also physically handicapped. Doctors have told that he can get paralyzed as the spinal cord has developed cracks.

Life has been tough for Suresh and his family. The illness has brought more misery to them, along with a high financial burden. The family has done all it can to continue with the treatment till now with whatever means they could and with the help of some well-wishers. But it is becoming more and more difficult to bear the expenses as days go on. With this fundraiser, the hope is to raise some funds which will go a great way to support this hapless family and Suresh.

Suresh has been to and fro to the hospital from the last 2 years but Due to Covid-19 lockdown, his travels got restricted and could not get his regular treatment. He missed the required dosage of medicines for a few weeks and this has caused him to suffer from some acute pains and other side effects. He is back to the hospital on 29th May with his sister as he can no more manage the headache and vomiting. Also, he has not been able to retain any food.

There is a need for approximately Rs.5,50,000 to treat the patient with oral chemotherapy, palliative care, and expenses for the next few months. Hopefully, this crowdfunding will help them to cover some of the expenses. I request you to kindly contribute towards this cause. Every small contribution will go a long way.
