Help a former Kickboxing World Champion and MMA fighter from Manipur get back into the ring and fly the nations flag high
My name is Vishal Seigell, Indian team Coach for the MMA World Championships and personal coach of Surbala, a 21-year-old former junior kickboxing World Champion and Jiu-Jitsu Asian Open Gold medallist and Team India member for the 2019 MMA World Championships in Bahrain.
Surbala hails from a poor family and her stay, food, and training is completely funded by me in my limited capacity. Her participation in the World Championships was covered by me as well by taking up loans for the purpose.
While competing at the MMA World Championships, Surbala was injured during her Quarterfinals match against a Mexican opponent in the first round itself but persevered to last the 3 rounds and eventually lost by the judge's decision.
Surbala is suffering from anterior cruciate ligament and the medial collateral ligament damage. She is currently admitted and receiving surgery in Hosmat Hospital. The athletes are neither funded nor insured by any agency or federation.
Until now, we have spent about Rs. 100000 that was cobbled up by friends and family.
In the next 30 days, we need Rs.195,000.00 more for further treatment and surgery. She is a future World Champion and needs financial support now to continue to make our nation proud.
