My cousin brother Sunil Wagh is a farmer in outskirts of Pune. Everything was going fine until 3 months back my brother started falling sick regularly. I was told by Ruby Hall hospital Pune, He would need an immediate surgery for his liver as he is suffering from acute pancreatitis. He was shattered, his whole world collapsed.
Sunil’s 5 year old kid, wife and ailing parent’s faces flashed in front of his eyes as tears rolled down. Thinking “Who will provide for them if I die?” was the first thought that came to his head. I quickly asked the doctor what needs to be done. He said only an operation can save me. I was a little relieved but when he told me it would cost 10 Lakhs, I lost all hope knowing I would never be able to arrange this kind of money as a farmer.
When I finally gathered the courage and told my ailing parents and wife, they both broke down. I didn’t know how to console them. I didn’t know how my kid will grow without a father.
We exhausted all of our life savings trying to save our brother. We dont have any money left, no collateral to sell. We tried for government policy but it got rejected as the cost was too high to be covered in the policy. You are our only hope.
My brother states “I cannot leave my family just yet. They do not deserve to struggle. Please donate generously so that I can see my kid growing”.
