As the second wave of this pandemic runs amok in  the country, claiming lives and leaving a whole trail of people struggling to get back on their feet, medically, emotionally and monetarily, we've seen the society come together and be resourceful to fight this battle to the best of our ability.

The story I share here with you all is no different and yet, not the least bit insignificant.

Sunil, my cousin, has a very important place in my childhood memories. In those playful naive growing up years, litytle had we imagined that there would come a day when we would be victim to and fightinh such a ghastly battle against this monster of a virus.

Sunil and his wife came down with the virus about 2 weeks ago and have had a very painful journey these last few days. While Sunil is on his way to recovery, the 11 days he spent in hospital has produced a heavy bill that he cannot foot by himself. The family has been struck with a few tragedies in a span of 2-months, starting with the demise of my dear aunt and Sunil's mum earlier in March. While they were still grieving this loss, there was yet another challenge at their doorstep in the name of covid.

However, faithful children of God as they are, the family went through every minute of these troubled times bravely. Health situation not only compromises your physical condition but is also a huge emotional and psychological mountain to conquer. While the family is doing their best to deal with these challenges that has their emotional resources spread out thin, doing our small bit to support their financial situation would be a great opportunity of service/payback/pay forward for a lot of us.
