Sumith has cancer and need your support to survive

My name is Shivakumar and I am here to fundraise for my son Sumith. He is suffering from Osteosarcoma a type of cancer and is localized. He needs chemotherapy and Limb Salvage Surgery. He has excellent chance of cure if the treatment is completed.

The estimated cost for treatment is around Rs. 12 lacs. I am coming from a very humble financial background and I am in no position to arrange such a huge amount is such short notice. Please come forward to help my child.

Dear Supporters ,

In the previous update, we informed you all about Ayush who can be helped with the funds remaining in Sumith's campaign. But unfortunately before we could initiate this, we received news that Ayush could not make it. We are extremely saddened by this unexpected turn of events. However, to ensure the remaining funds reach patients and familiies that need urgent help, we have transferred the remaining funds to these two campaigns.

https://milaap.org/fundraisers/bharath-r  ~ 3 lacs.

He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He underwent Chemotherapy. He is suffering from an infection as well as secondary malnutrition. He requires more funds to continue his treatment.

https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-mohit-30 ~ Rs. 1.15 lacs

Mohit has come to the hospital and they did not have funds to do work up. The funds are being transferred to do their hospital work up.

Even though Sumith and Ayush could not make it, your contributions are saving the lives of two other children. Once again we would like to thank all of you for the  love and support.

Regards,
Team Milaap

Dear supporters,

We regret to inform you all that we were unable to save Sumith despite all the efforts. We hope he is in a better place now. May his soul rest in peace.

At Milaap, we release funds raised only against utilization for the intended purpose, supported by a treatment update from the doctor as well as bills and invoices given to us. Hence no funds have been transferred to the hospital or to the parent's account.

Since none of the funds raised are utilized for the intended purpose, we would like to channalise the amount collected to Ayush's campaign. Here is the campaign link: https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-ayush-16

1 year old Ayush is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia and needs Chemotherapy for his recovery.

We do understand that some of you may like a refund since the original purpose was not met - 100% of your contribution will be refunded - please reply to us by 7th November 2019.

In case you have made a bank transfer to the account number mentioned on the campaign page, we would request you to share the account details with us by replying to this email or reaching out to team Milaap on feedback@milaap.org.

We owe our donors transparency in the process, and we leave it to their discretion on how their contribution should be used.

Our prayers and wishes are with Sumith's family and we pray for his soul to rest in peace.
