Sumit Bhayan is currently the most promising MMA fighter in India. He is a multiple times gold medalist at National level competitions. Some of his accomplishments include, but not limited to,
- Silver medalist, 2021 MMA Asian Championship, Kyrgyzstan
- Silver medalist, 2019 MMA World Championship, Singapore
- National MMA gold medalist, 2021
- 9 wins and 1 loss in AMATEUR MMA
- winner of 16 man submission only tournament, 2020.
Last year he won silver at the 2021 Asian MMA Championship and Kyrgyzstan and has been selected to represent India at the World Championship to be held at Amsterdam from 23rd to 27th March, 2022.
The expenses for the trip comes to about 1,50,000/- INR. However, being a full time athlete with no government support, it is difficult for Sumit to raise this kind of fund, especially during the current pandemic situation.
