Sumeru (34 yrs), my friend from school, is fighting a stroke due to brain infection. In December 2019 when the entire world was celebrating and welcoming the new year, he was not feeling good and experienced drowsiness and weakness on the right side of his body. Eventually the right side of his body got semi paralyzed. He was admitted in a govt hospital where we got to know about the stroke.

After the stroke when we did not see any sign of improvement and rather deterioration, we somehow managed to take him to a good private hospital and got him operated which cost around 4 lakhs. Doctors have discovered an infection in his brain and to cure the same, a part of his skull is right now attached to his belly, and after few months it will be attached to head again. His relatives and friends somehow managed to put together the amount. Currently as a result of the stroke and infection, he currently cannot talk properly. 

The fight starts here. He has to be under utmost care, medicines, physiotherapy, doctor visits & follow ups, operations and nutrition for a year minimum and it could go on for more years. 

This is where we need your help. We friends have managed some expenses which is around 20000. But we are tensed what will happen when that fund goes over.

Sumeru used to work in a small pvt firm, lost his job because of the illness and financially is not well off. He has lost his father when he was a kid and mother during college days.

I have come here to request all of you to contribute whatever you can to give this young man a chance again to stand on his own feet and be able to talk.
