Oh our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Sameer Murthy (27), and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to save my mother, Suman Murthy.
Our lives changed overnight when she suffered a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (brain bleed), requiring emergency brain surgery on January 6th, 2026.
After a prolonged and critical stay at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, she was discharged on March 24th, 2026, and is currently undergoing care at a rehabilitation center. However, her condition remains fragile and far from stable.
During her hospitalization, she battled Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP), a severe MRSA infection, and continues to require BiPAP support with a tracheostomy. She is semi-conscious and dependent on continuous medical care.

Considering the upcoming surgery, ongoing rehabilitation, and the risk of repeated ICU admissions, the total projected cost of her treatment could go up to ₹35–40 lakhs.
Doctors are now preparing her for the next crucial phase — a Cranioplasty along with a VP Shunt procedure, followed by ICU stay, observation, and multiple investigations. The estimated cost for this upcoming phase is ₹10–15 lakhs.
Beyond this, her recovery will require long-term medical care and rehabilitation costing approximately ₹1.5 lakhs per month. Despite being in rehab, her condition is unstable—as noted in her discharge summary, she has already required emergency ICU readmissions, with each ICU visit costing ₹3–5 lakhs.
So far, we have already spent ₹25 lakhs, exhausting all our savings and available resources.
I am only 27 years old and had just begun my career in 2025. As the sole earning member of my family, I am doing everything I can—but the scale and unpredictability of these medical expenses are far beyond my capacity.
Today, I am reaching out with folded hands—asking for your support to help my mother continue her fight.
How you can help:
We will remain forever grateful for your kindness and support.
