Humanity is faced with its biggest challenge yet - climate change. As our weather systems change, natural disasters grow more frequent, and livelihoods are impacted en masse, we can see the environment at a scale like never before. In a world where most corporations and governments have turned a blind eye, non-governmental organizations stand as a pillar, trying to make a change when no one else seems to be listening.
Luckily, in recent years, climate change has received much more attention. However, present day resource allocations and efforts on the part of major institutions continue to remain insufficient to address the issue comprehensively. As a result, non-governmental organizations that have stepped forward to take over the mantle for this cause continue to suffer from a lack of funds and encouragement. To address this, the Hyderabad Climate Fund recognises how a lack of resources paralyzes the vital work of NGOs and aims to address this so that existing organizations can continue their efforts of environmental conservation and restoration.
The Hyderabad Climate Fund, established in May 2023, intends to augment current initiatives and further the work of non-governmental organizations and initiatives striving to raise awareness of climate change and protect the environment. The guiding premise of HCF is to address current gaps in the implementation and execution of non-profit organizations' projects, and to offer them a platform to magnify their reach, enhance their financial viability, and boost the overall efficacy of their programmes. The Hyderabad Climate Fund will serve as a single platform for organizations to exhibit their campaigns and initiatives to the target audience in order to raise awareness and cash.
HCF also aims to increase awareness of climate change and its consequences among underserved communities, and equip them with the knowledge necessary to understand and advocate for environmentally friendly practices and sustainable lifestyles. In this endeavor, HCF now seeks to supplement the initiatives of Sukhad Foundation, a Hyderabad based NGO, in educating the youth about the pertinence of climate change and sustainability with the funds raised through this campaign. We encourage you to donate generously for this cause!
