A holistic wellness brand, I started Project Yuva as a sustainable initiative intending to meet the everyday wellness and hygiene requirements of pre-adolescent and adolescent boys from underserved communities. The primary goal of Yuva is rooted in the hope to adopt environment-friendly practices, and the brand achieves the same by producing wellness and self-care products by incorporating traditional and local knowledge systems into globally successful wellness strategies.
Through the initiative, I intend to launch a line of products — Yuva Body Spray, Yuva Sports Recovery Balm, and Yuva Hair Serum, to aid the overall physical and mental well-being of teenage boys from socio-economically vulnerable communities. All products, from inception to finish, have been curated in collaboration with a leading Pharmaceutical company with cent percent eco-conscious and sustainable values. Yuva’s vision of wellness exists outside the conventional understanding of wellness and self-care as the project aims to create meaningful conversations about the many anxieties and myths that surround wellness for teenage boys. As a multi-modal project, alongside the creation of wellness products, Yuva also includes an activity and pamphlet series that dives into natural home remedies for wellness and solutions for concerns of self-image and beauty standards. To further reach deserving individuals and communities, Yuva has collaborated with the NGO Sukhad Foundation to distribute self-care kits comprising the three Yuva products.
The fundraiser hopes to raise an amount of INR 50K the proceeds from which will go to the Sukhad Foundation to actively support their transformative ongoing efforts. As the hope of the project is to raise awareness about the importance of wellness not only by creating a conversation about it but also by opening up practical possibilities, any donations will be immensely helpful for the NGO to work towards fostering safer and healthier landscapes for young children.
