Access to STEM education is disproportionately low amongst women across the world, and it is especially important to address the historical disparities in educational opportunities and underrepresentation of women in STEM in India. Young girls, particularly from underserved communities, lack access to quality STEM education in the country and this in turn impacts their presence in future careers in STEM and results in a dearth of knowledge of practical STEM concepts that are required in everyday life.

Circuits of Change seeks to augment access to hands-on, experimental STEM learning for young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds through educational resources and practical workshops, focusing on Physics and electricity concepts. We have partnered with the New Delhi-based Prajna Foundation in an effort to make a tangible difference in the lives of young students and introduce them to key STEM concepts through engaging activities. Through this fundraiser, we hope to raise funds to curate individual toolkits consisting of raw materials to enable students to build simple electrical circuits, as well as contribute to Prajna Foundation’s ongoing educational efforts. With your contribution, we hope to contribute towards the creation of a more just and equitable society for all, where young girls feel empowered and encouraged to take up STEM education.
