Launched in February 2023, Project LEAP (Local Environmental Action Project) is a social and environmental action project that reaches out to the grassroots to empower young voices and amplify their voices to be advocates for fostering meaningful environmental changes in local communities. With roots going back to the DrainBane Petition that I launched in May 2022 to draw attention to the adverse repercussions of open drains in Noida, the primary goal of the project is to turn the spotlight on overlooked spaces and communities in our society to build a greener, healthier, safer, and more equal future.
Over the last two years, project LEAP has made its presence felt across Delhi, reaching out to the grassroots to make necessary interventions in addressing social, environmental, and related health concerns through a series of textual and visual content, surveys, and consistent research to identify and mitigate pertinent problems. In the months ahead, the aim is to bolster these sustained efforts through more real-time interactions, and a significant part of this is the LEAP Fundraiser.


In collaboration with the NGO Hamari Pahchan, the LEAP fundraiser seeks to address the fissures in the domain of water access by contributing towards improving access to potable drinking water in congested urban areas. All proceeds from the LEAP Fundraiser will strengthen the ongoing efforts of Hamari Pahchan in improving access to safe and clean drinking water among socioeconomically backward families through the procurement and installation of efficient water purification systems.
