The situation is worsening with each passing day currently more than 84 lakh people from 16 districts have been affected by the floods and the number is still rising continuously. Although the Water Resources Department claims that the condition is improving day by day but we don’t know how much of it is true. When we see the ground reality of these claims, it tells a different story.
Now, talking about the second challenge for the people of Bihar is the lockdown and Corona Virus Pandemic. Bihar is the 8th worst-hit state in India and the number of people who have been infected by Corona Virus is more than 1,30,000, more than 1,12,000 people have been recovered from the virus and more than 560 people have lost their lives due to this virus. Currently, Bihar is having around 18,000 active cases. The number does not sound too big but every day more than 2,000 cases of this virus is being registered by the government and with the situation of flood this number is very difficult to control.
Although the government has ordered another lockdown but how can people stay in their house when their house is filled with water due to the floods. Neither the media nor the government pay any attention to the current situation and has made the decision to still conduct the NDA exams at Bihar. They have not thought for once that how the students would manage to come to the examination center under these conditions where there is no transportation facility is available for some students the examination center is really far away, how would those students give their exams. Each student is capable of becoming a soldier and under these conditions where the situation is different and difficult for most of the students. The government is stealing their Right to Equality. Due to this situation, many of our Future Soldiers will be unable to give their examinations and their chance will be passed to somebody else.
Now a team of teachers in Delhi with the help of has accepted that it is foolish to blame the government for its actions and has decided to take a stand for these students. This team of teachers with the help of Milaap Organisation has made the decision to provide the transport facility to some students free of cost so that they can easily go to the examination center and also to come back from the center to their homes.
This team has decided to transport around 500 students through buses to their examination center at Patna, Bihar, and to bring them back to their respective homes too. They want the support of the people who want to be a part of this cause. You can support by any means to become a part of this.
