Along with our 9 to 6 job, we run a small charitable trust that supports homeless animals in select areas of Mumbai. After office hours we make visits to the areas where we feed the dogs and cats and rescue those who are motherless and require immediate medical care. Besides offering them food we take care of their medical needs like getting them vaccinated, sterilized, hospitalized in case of emergencies, spot-on treatment or medicines that prevent them from ticks & fleas, deworming them, and also continue putting our efforts into getting the pups and kittens adopted. Currently, we are taking care of 150 dogs and cats approximately (the number keeps going up after every few months).

We pay 54,000 for feeding the dogs and cats each month
The monthly foster charge for rescued animals is - 6,000 to 10,000 approximately
Every 3 months we deworm all the dogs and cats
Annual vaccination of dogs and cats
On-going sterilization that includes a prior blood test

INR 140K if raised. will be of help to the animals for the next 2 and a half months approximately.

Our biggest challenge is that the number of dogs we are feeding continues to increase as not many humans are actively involved in supporting the strays. We started feeding and nurturing 25 dogs. And currently, the number is 150 dogs and cats. All animals are street animals. We give our heart to bringing a smile to their face as we wish to see them happy.
