Happy Tails Bangalore is a group of students from around Bangalore working on a single project: bettering animal welfare in India. Though we are just students and may not be able to reach all parts of the country, we are determined to do our part. Together we aim to provide care to strays around the city. Animal population in and around our area is rising (especially during Covid-19), their conditions are decreasing, and they are struggling. Thus, we hope to spread awareness about animal cruelty and adoption, have volunteer sessions as well as raise funds for many purposes.

Our goal is to collect Rs. 50,000 in the next month so that we can begin utilizing the funds efficiently. We have 3 main objectives with the funds:

1) To provide healthcare, wellness, and medical attention to injured and sick strays. As treatments are expensive, will be using Rs. 25,000 of the funds mainly for tablets, ointments, syrups, syringes, and other medical equipment to help treat the animals professionally.

2) Secondly, the biggest and most rising issue for strays is their limited access to, if not healthy, even sufficient food. Therefore, Happy Tails Bangalore aims to use Rs. 15,000 of the funds to providing nourishing, nutritious and hygienic food to the animals of the streets, the animals without homes.

3) The remaining Rs. 10,000 we have chosen to use to create means of shelter for these poor souls. The funds will be used to purchase materials and instruments required to build these shelters so that strays are not aimlessly roaming in the cold rain or the scorching heat.
