Dogs and cats should have a home. But stray dogs and stray cats don’t. They lead poor and miserable lives on the streets. They are often illfed, suffer from extreme heat or cold, and suffer from diseases.
We are a small team of strong willed and dedicated volunteers committed to improving street animal lives in Delhi.
Our activities involve the rescue of sick and injured animals, safeguarding dogs and cats from the harsh weather conditions, feeding the hungry animals, community engagement, and providing desperately needed medical services to animals that need it most.
We have been paying for our programs from our own pockets for the last year, however, as any animal lover would understand, you feed one, more come to you with expectations and it becomes simply impossible to ignore the look in their eyes.
Feeding and shelter requirements:
Almost all of the dogs and cats that we feed have been sterilized through the animal birth control (ABC) program and have been given anti-rabies vaccination.

FEEDING AND SHELTER
We provide food to nearly 136 animals everyday. Feeding dogs is only step one of helping them live better lives. We also ensure that every dog we feed don’t suffer the hardships of cold winters. We provide winter jackets, sweaters, warm blankets and makeshift shelters to the animals.Feeding and shelter requirements:
- Milk & bread
- Rice/oats/daliya
- Roti/chapati
- Dog/cat dry and wet food
- Vegetables/feed for cows
- Bajra/feed for birds
- Bedsheets/blankets/tarpaulins
- Sweaters/winter jackets
- Jute dari/bori
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The cases we most typically help include infected wounds, maggot wounds, fractures due to accidents, human abuse victims, skin diseases such as sarcoptic and demodectic mange, tick-borne diseases. In most cases we treat the animals on the spot, however, emergency cases require veterinarian visits along with blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds and expensive medications.Almost all of the dogs and cats that we feed have been sterilized through the animal birth control (ABC) program and have been given anti-rabies vaccination.

- Suppressant and topical analgesic
- Antiseptic liquid
- Bandages
- Neosporin powder
- Flea and tick treatments
- Deworming medicines
- Antibacterial medicines
- Antifungal medicines
- Vitamin and mineral supplements
Although we must say that we do get paid with twinkling eyes, wagging tails, friendly jumps and happy, sometimes wet, kisses. We simply adore our children and they love us too!
