It saddens me to see cows left to fend for themselves by their owners, once they stop giving milk. These cattles are on the streets and often seen scavenging. They often fall prey to illegal slaughter and diseases.

I have seen such animals get hurt in accidents and pose a problem to motorists.

There are more than 5,000 stray cattle in Goa. My objective is to start small and rescue as many animals as possible in the coming years.

The cost to build a decent shed and compound is about Rs 30,00,000. Rest Rs 5,00,000 is for their fodder management and medicines.

I really want to make an impact on the lives of these animals by building a place that can provide them with a healthy and safe environment.

I am doing everything in my control to make this happen.
