Dear All,

We all are well aware and proud of the fact that Pillai group of Institutions is actively involved in creating social awareness, engaging in various social welfare campaigns and creating awareness about social issues.

Apart from the social issues related to humans in the society, I wish to draw your attention towards the pure souls in our society who co-exist with us but are treated like they are not worthy of living or their life is a curse.

The pure souls that I am referring to are the Indie dogs who live on streets and are often neglected, abused, abandoned or hurt intentionally by humans who don’t know the meaning of “Humanity” or “Compassion”.

Pillai College's Social Service Committee along with the students are organizing ‘Stray Doggies Feeding Drive’ on 23rd April, 2022.

Our plan of action comprises the following –

To feed at least 200 dogs from the isolated areas of Old Panvel who live on empty stomach for days due to scarcity of food resources. Some of them even die due to starvation.

The menu for our doggie friends include –
  • Curd and rice – 10 Kg
  • 100 rotis + 20 Liter milk
  • Pedigree – 20 Kg
Budget – Approximately Rs. 10,000 /-

We request you to kindly consider donating some amount for helping us in feeding the most loyal creatures on earth (A human’s best friend).

Looking forward to an encouraging response and your kind co-operation.

Yours’ Sincerely,
Gursharan Kaur
Social Service Committee Team - PiMSR
