In today’s fast-paced world, many elderly individuals are left without the care, love, and attention they deserve. For some, their twilight years are filled with loneliness, mental strain, and emotional distress, often without the basic necessities that provide a dignified life.
Understanding this deep need, we founded “Sri Sharadamba Trust” driven by compassion and a commitment to serve those less fortunate
Currently, our home shelters 50 elderly residents, offering them not just a roof over their heads, but also the warmth of community, consistent meals, medical care, and an environment filled with love and respect.
Every day, our team works tirelessly to ensure that these elders receive nutritious meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — along with essential medical care and a space where they can feel safe and valued.
Beyond their physical needs, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and joy. We provide television for recreation, a source of comfort and connection to the outside world. But more importantly, we offer what they truly seek: care, companionship, and the feeling that they are not alone.
Challenge:
In India, a growing number of elderly people are being left vulnerable due to poverty, family conflicts, chronic illnesses, and inadequate healthcare. These challenges, compounded by the lack of resources, are forcing many senior citizens into lives of isolation and neglect.
Unfortunately, essential services like healthcare, nutrition, and compassionate care are often out of reach for these individuals, particularly for indigenous and underprivileged communities.
We provide more than just shelter and food; we offer dignity, care, and hope. However, feeding and supporting the health needs of these vulnerable elders remains a constant challenge. That’s why we rely on the generosity of individual donors and corporate sponsors to continue our mission. Every contribution helps us provide daily meals, medical care, and a safe haven for those who need it most.
Solution:
At our old age home, we provide a nurturing and loving environment for needy senior citizens who have been neglected or abandoned by their families. It’s not just a place to stay – it’s truly "A Happy Home" where elders, aged 60 to 90, find solace, companionship, and a renewed sense of belonging.
We currently care for 50 elderly residents, offering them food, clothing, shelter, dignity, security, and affection.
Through donations, we can meet their basic needs, but more than that, we create a space where they can live out their remaining years in peace and happiness. Once burdened by feelings of isolation, our residents now enjoy a supportive community where they can share their thoughts, worries, and joys with others who understand.
