My name is Koushik Ghosh Choudhury , I am social worker from Jamshedpur-Jharkhand , and I am here to fundraise for my  Facebook Friend  Soumanil Mukherji  , Soumanil’s Mother, Mrs. Kanchana Mukherji . She was being treated in Apolo Nursing home , Kolkata West Bengal .

she is 57, and is suffering from End Stage Kidney Disease with hypertensive cardiac failure and is undergoing haemodialysis treatment currently. Due to this pandemic, I have lost my job and my father being a retired Non pensioner, we are left with almost no or limited source of income to sustain the monthly medical expenses for her. She recently had severe hypertensive cardiac failure on 30th April while in Kolkata resulting from pulmonary odema. We could somehow save her, special thanks to an MBBS Laparoscopic surgeon who gave my mother a life. The pre and post hospitalization expenses cost about 5 lacs with beds and ICUs touching sky rocket surged prices due to scarcity. Till now we had managed to borrow through some close family members and relatives as we were out of any medical policy coverage for her and since we are not in a position to pay the high premiums also and overall coverage is not possible for a pre-existing critical illness. The family has done all it can to collect the total amount required for the treatment but Rs.5,00,000 is required to cover up the damage control and to bear all necessary medical expenses till another 6-7 months at least if not longer. Considering an average monthly expenditure of 40,000 a month (2-3 dialysis per week plus other routine medicines, vaccinations, check ups, hospitalization). This cost is just a rough estimation only but the family needs to prepare renal transplant, also, if required in future.

As the amount required is huge, I request you to kindly contribute towards the treatment and help during this time of need. Each contribution is important!

We are in a very bad condition to spend more money. Already spent 5 lakhs rupees. Please help me and my mom to get recover soon will all your help. Now we took her to Kolkata for treatment. Any help will be appreciated.
