Soubhagya is a 39 year old single mother with 2 dependent children and an old mother. She has lost her job due to the pandemic. To support herself and her family, she wants to start a small food business. Help her raise the capital she needs to go from an impoverished woman struggling to make ends meet to the self-reliant small business owner she can become.
Soubhagya has previous experience in setting up a petty shop (selling cigarettes etc.) that her mother helps to run. Her older brother also owns and manages a small shop. She has had experience with cooking intermittently for office parties. She wants to take these experiences to start a small restaurant/darshini. For initial capital, she has budgeted as follows -
1. Big stove - Rs. 5000
2. Tables and chairs - Rs. 10,000
3. Cooking vessels - Rs. 10000
4. Gas - Rs. 5000
5. Mixie, utensils etc. - Rs. 6000
6. Insurance - Rs. 10,000
7. Security deposit (for 3 year lease) - Rs. 1,50,000
She is also attempting to raise additional funds through loans and other spaces.
