    Smita Shastrakar

My mother tested positive for Covid-19 on 15th April and since then she is continuously fighting the battle of covid-19.

Due to bed unavailability in pune, we had to admit her in Sub-district govt hospital, Bhor on 16th April which is 1hr away from pune. But due to co-morbidity, despite of giving all required medications, her condition didn't improve and her oxygen level started dropping.

On 19th April, we shifted her to ICU in Harjeevan Private Hospital, bhor. Where, she was put on BIPAP Ventilator due to low oxygen level.
After diagnosis, it was found that she suffered from Cytokine storm which infected 85-90% of her Lungs. Lung tissues are damaged, found blood clots in lung veins.

Due to diabetes, her body is not responding to medicines as expected and recovery is very low. Doctors informed us that it will take 3-4 months for complete recovery and her condition is critical.
On 7th May, we shifted her to ICU in Ruby Hall Clinic, Wanowrie, Pune for advance treatment.

We have already paid 4L till date for her treatment but she is going to require treatment for long term which going to cost us way more than we can afford. Hence, we need all possible financial aid and prayers for her speedy recovery. Your small contribution can save her life.
