October 7 was the most unfortunate day since the inception of our charitable trust. In the last two years, we had only seen cases of either dogs succumbing to injuries from road accidents or deteriorating from sickness and diseases. This was the first time, we saw how brutal mankind can get, and how threatened our humanity is. We received a call from the areas around RG Complex, Paharganj about Poppy who had burn injuries on his face and around his eyes, for the past 4 days. We immediately sent in an ambulance to rescue him, so he could be treated and be relieved from his pain. Mr. Ditesh came forward to keep Poopy at his medical boarding and provide him with the care that he needs. Besides the acid attack, Poppy also has a tick fever and really low platelet counts; for which he has been started on OTC, Metrogyl, Enrocin, Rantac, and Belamyl, and Oral Phosclear. It’s been a week since Poppy has been started on these rounds of treatment and shows hopeful signs of recovery for his burns. We still need to raise Rs. 20000 for the tick fever treatment and the charges of stay at the medical boarding. You provided us with immense support when we first heard news of the acid attack, please help us in reaching our goal till Poppy makes his final recovery.
