Dear All,
We are reaching out to all of you for your kind assistance to help Siddharth Shankar Mishra in his fight against Covid-19.
Siddharth, 31 years old with no pre-disease, non-smoker, non-alcoholic and a vegetarian has been admitted in the critical care unit of SUM hospital, Bhubaneswar since more than 28 days undergoing Covid-19 induced Pneumonia. He has been in the ventilator and has not been recovering as expected. The doctors have asked for immediate Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) treatment for the next course to help him recover.
An appeal from Siddharth's wife, Sonali with folded hands:
We got married in Feb 2019 with lot of dreams in our eyes as a young couple. We hardly have started our journey together that Covid-19 has come as a curse in our lives. Me and Siddharth tested Covid positive on 16th May 2021. We both remained under home isolation for a week when Siddharth's condition deteriorated and was hospitalized on 22nd May in Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar. His oxygen intake kept on increasing and later was shifted to ICU where his conditions did not improve any further. On 14th June, he was shifted to the Critical Care unit of SUM Ultimate Medicare, Bhubaneswar and has then been in Ventilator support. As his lungs are severely damaged, doctors have now asked for ECMO treatment immediately.
Siddharth's parents are retired Senior citizens and he is the only earning son. The current requirement for ECMO treatment alone is Rs. 1 Lac a day excluding other charges. We currently need at least 80 Lacs for his further course of treatment through ECMO. I implore you all to kindly come forward and help Siddharth to get the ECMO treatment and if required (God Forbid) lung transplant so that he can live and take care of his family again. Even a smallest contribution will make a big difference. Kindly Help.
