Fundraising appeal for the education of Shyam Sundar Maurya’s children
My name is Shyam Sundar Maurya, and I live in Kaudiya village, Nizamabad Tehsil, District Azamgarh (U.P.). I belong to a poor farming family and earn my living by growing vegetables on a very small piece of land. Farming has always been my family’s only source of income. For the past six months, I have been suffering from a serious Kidney and urinary disease. Because of this illness, I am not able to work in the fields or take care of my family properly. I am the only earning member in my house, and due to my sickness, my family is struggling badly. In villages like ours, when one person is responsible for all the work and income, their illness brings the entire household under heavy burden.
The biggest pain for me as a father is that for the past one year, I have not been able to pay my children’s school fees. Education is very important for their future, but due to my condition and financial hardship, I am unable to arrange the required money. The school has already informed us that if the pending fees are not cleared soon, my children may be removed from school. This situation breaks my heart because I always wanted my children to study well and move ahead in life.
I have three children who are currently studying at S.D.A. Inter College, Jamalpur Mundiyar, Azamgarh.
I am appealing with folded hands to all kind-hearted people to please come forward and help me in this difficult time. Your support, no matter how small, will directly go towards paying my children’s school fees and will save them from being forced out of school. With your generosity, my children can continue their studies and move towards a better future.

- My daughter Surekha, who is in Class 8, has a fee of ₹8,050 pending.
- My son Amarchand, also in Class 8, has the same amount of fee pending, ₹8,050.
