"She is admitted in the hospital weeks after she buried her mother , who adopted her when she was a child."  - Says Rajashekhar - Shwetha's brother.

Shwetha has been adopted as a child by Rajashekhar's parents when she was a child. She was treated like their own daughter and Rajashekhar always considered her to be her own sister. She got married to Nataraj some years back and has a 4 year old  son also. They are happily married until this fateful day happened .

It started as a normal fever only. She was rushed to a local hospital nearby . She had cough too.  By the next day sit got much worse and the doctor also felt that there was something wrong in her lungs. Post that she got admitted and by the next day, she had to be moved to the ventilator.  Her condition still was not getting better and the last option was to get her into ECMO.

"Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), also known as extracorporeal life support (ECLS), is an extracorporeal technique of providing prolonged cardiac and respiratory support to persons whose heart and lungs are unable to provide an adequate amount of gas exchange or perfusion to sustain life."

"This is the second tragedy that is happening to our family in the last 4 months". Shwetha's stepmother and her step brother met with an accident 4 months back. While her step brother , Rajashekhar is still recovering from the injury, her step mother could not make it.

In the hospital , her 4 year old son Tanmay asks "When is my mother coming back" is not not comparable at all. He also asks Rajashekhar very innocently "Maama , are you coming back with Amma in an Auto or Bus" is not a sight you can watch without teary eyes.

The family has exhausted all their financial resources and has already spent Rs. 10 lacs in the hospital for Shwetha's treatment. They ran out of all the options to save Shwetha. The total estimated cost for further treatment is coming around 20-25 lacs.

In the next 30 days, they need financial assistance for Kidney Dialysis, Ecmo and Medical Treatment and Shwetha has an excellent chance of survival if she is completing the treatment.
