    Shubhang Mishra

    from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

Story

Shubhang lives in a village near Prayagraj, UP. His father, Pd. Durgaprasad Mishra works in Mumbai as a Pundit.
Shubhang had gone to fill petrol in his scooter with one of his cousins. While leaving the petrol pump, he was hit by a petrol tanker. After the accident, he was not able to stand, where as his cousin was completely fine. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where an x-ray was removed, but the doctor was not able to understand the reason behind his pain, hence the doctor referred him to another hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor said that it was a fracture, and he would cure it in 15 days. The doctor placed his leg in a plaster and then hung the leg. Soon, Shubhang started complaining that he was not able to feel anything in his leg, so his family members took him to Prayagraj, to a specialist doctor. The specialist took him for a MRI, after which he said that his leg is not fractured, and has blockage in his veins, due to which he was feeling so much pain. He said that the only way out was to amputee his right leg, if not done so, it could risk his life due to increasing infection. So his family members decided to take a second opinion. The next specialist also said the same treatment of amputating his leg. After talking to the doctor, his father decided to get Shubhang to Mumbai to get an opinion in Mumbai. When Shubhang reached Mumbai, we was admitted in Saifee Hospital, before operating the doctors said that its a 50-50 chance that the leg will survive without being cut. After a few days of the surgery, Shubhang started sensing in his leg, but due to the infection he had vomiting and fever. Seeing his symptoms doctors said that the only way out is to cut the leg, so leading to another operation, even after the amputation, the fever and other systems were still present, so Shubhang was taken in for a third surgery. In the third surgery the pus, muscles, and veins were removed which were infected. After this Shubhang was fine, he started eating properly and had no fever. Till now he was in the ICU, but after his fever went away, doctors shifted him to general ward. The doctors are planing to do a plastic surgery so that they can prepare the leg for a bionic leg. Doctors have given an estimate of 14 lakh rupees.
Shubhang's family's financial condition is not so great to support his medical expenses. Hence, we are here to request you'll to contribute to his medical expenditure.
