We always want and wait to make a change,to be a part of something that is bigger than our existence,to give back something to our planet we live on,right?
Here’s a chance…
Everything in this world has a basic element of structure, this structure defines its constitution and its properties, layer by layer, piece by piece, part by part, this structure is formed and things come in existence our ecosystem follows a structure too, but think what happens if this structure is disturbed out of the blue ?
Just like, if a card is drown out from a house of cards, what will happen?
This card, another element of a structure that involves all the living beings along with us, our ecosystem, is on the verge of falling out of its place.
Hi this is Shubh Tripathi and Syed Ishaq, students from MET film school,London. We are making an educational documentary titled “CauveryWASI” as our Master's project and to promote conservation, spread awareness and provide education to people about Humpback Mahseer (Tor Remadevii) documenting the journey of WASI (Wildlife Association of South India) in collaboration with Karnataka Forest Department in the Cauvery river basin.
Few reason why we believe we need to say this story -
> It is now a IUCN red listed, critically endangered freshwater fish species. It’s one of the biggest in its playground(up to 50-60kgs) and without a doubt one of the most overlooked.
Join us on this adventurous venture to find and explore about this magestic "Tiger of Cauvery" with Mr. Naren Shrinivasana and WASI diving into 50 years of conservation, education and service which still continues as this species struggles to survive.
Be a part of this legacy by funding our project which has a sole motive of getting Tor Remadevii the attention and protection it deserves.
your funding will contribute towards -

required to form a narrative to justify on screen these long years of hardwork and sheer persistence.
Let us invest for a tomorrow that we all can see :)

Few reason why we believe we need to say this story -
> The Humpback Mahseer is endemic to Cauvery river basin (which means its only found in this river in the whole world).
> It is now a IUCN red listed, critically endangered freshwater fish species. It’s one of the biggest in its playground(up to 50-60kgs) and without a doubt one of the most overlooked.
> Reports suggest 90% population was wiped out in last 15 years.
> Lack of awareness, in a survey of 100 people 86 people had never heard about Mahseer.
> Very little or almost no professional coverage aimed specifically at Humpback Mahseer in forms of film and documentaries are available.
> Mahseer population is an indication of a healthy fresh water body, its decline suggests hampered environment.
