In this fight against the COVID – 19 pandemic, it is imperative that our front-line heroes – the doctors, nurses, lab technicians and housekeeping help, who are working tirelessly to treat patients and ensure that we contain this virus, remain protected and are not infected so that we can win this battle for humanity.
And the best way is to ensure that they are equipped with the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Kits that will enable them to carry out their duties and protect themselves and their families. There are many nurses and doctors who are not getting access to PPE Kits currently and once this epidemic spreads it will be needed all the more.
Further, the access to PPE will be difficult at many smaller centers and doctors working in districts and towns and the best thing to do is to be prepared for such an eventuality.
There is also much to learn from other countries such as USA, France, Spain, Italy, Spain, China and recently Indonesia where this has happened and have reported a significant number of medical staff succumbing to this virus. Even in the US, the doctors are unable to work in proper conditions as they are unable to get PPE. We can identify this as a warning trigger and work on it NOW! We can address this issue immediately instead of succumbing to the next wave of human catastrophe.

Extending our support in these times, we have identified the need for these PPE Kits on an urgent basis for nurses and doctors who are treating COVID- 19 cases. We also recognize that our collective support in this regard will contribute in some way. We have decided to purchase these kits and supply them for doctors who need them at different hospitals across Bangalore.
The average cost of the PPE kit is INR 3000. We are continuing to negotiate with dealers to get these kits at lesser prices, and will hopefully succeed.
