Rajen is from Patna. He has a 15 month old baby boy who has a heart problem. Unaware of what was awaiting him, he arrived with his son and wife, Sanya Devi in Delhi for treatment at AIIMS on Mar 21st. He got stuck in the capital due to lockdown without much success in getting the treatment. Instead he ended up spending all his savings (that he pulled after mortgaging his 3 dismil land in his village, Pukharphur) for medicines, stay and food during the time.

His plight was discovered by CNN News 18 reporter, Rupashree Nanda, when Rajen's family was sitting outside New Delhi Rlwy Station desperate to get 2 tickets to head back to Patna. He had already exhausted his money for the lodge and was sleeping under a flyover by then. We could manage to shift them to a shelter home and make arrangements further to put them on a Shramik Express bound to Bihar. But there is a tough life waiting him given that the little one has not yet got his treatment while the savings and his land are both out of bounds.

This fund is to help support Rajen and his family in this hour of distress. Please donate wisely and thanks for your time so far.

A little about me. I head the analytics for a fintech company in Bangalore and believe strongly in the power of few like-minded people. On May 12th, I was watching my daily dose of morning news and was shocked to see Rajen break down outside the railway station on national channel live telecast. Some quick searching for the news byte connected me to @rupashreenanda the reporter and eventually to Rajen himself. Speaking to him, I could confirm his desperation and transferred some money for short term. Meanwhile on twitter I saw more interest shown by good samaritans that has encouraged me to take up this fund.
