My name is Ramanjini SV and I am raising funds for my aunt, Shanthamma's family's daily livelihood.
On Saturday 23rd July 2022, a fateful event has snatched not only the home but the livelihood of Shanthamma and her family.
Life is very unpredictable and we don't know what can happen to us or our loved ones (Tayamma) the next minute. 23rd July morning around 8 AM when one of the family members was preparing breakfast, an unfortunate event happened. While preparing, the Gas cylinder burst, and fire spread across the house rapidly.
In that course, my grandmother got severe burns and was admitted to Private hospital on the same day( Unfortunately we lost her the next day). My aunt’s husband who is handicapped survived in this with minor burns on both of his legs. Luckily other family members escaped from this nasty disaster as they were out. They are grieving in beloved family member's death at this moment.
In this incident, Their precious life is saved and not in danger but their livelihood, lifetime savings, earnings shelter, home, food, cloth, documents, books everything turned into ashes. As per the estimation, they have incurred a loss of around 60L to 70L.

- daily amenities and food,
- clothing
- Cookware
- children education
- Basic furniture & home appliances
- furnishings.
My aunt is the sole earner of her family, as her husband is handicap ( by road accident some years back ) and both the kids are still studying.
She is a mother of two young boys, both school going, she is very hardworking and a woman of dignity who has sailed through multiple crisis in recent time with sheer grit and perseverance. She somehow sailed and things were going back on track but with this big accident everything has been taken away from her and they are completely broke.
The family has endured a lot in the last few days and have been devastated by this unfortunate and untimely incident. As his friends and family, it is now up to us to stand and support this family, when they it the most.
