Shailesh was in ICU since last 7 moths from April 28, fighting with lungs damage caused by covid.
He was admitted in Nagpur (first in RadhaKrishna hospital and then in Wockhard hospital) for initial three months, but he was not showing any recovery, so doctor's recommended lungs transplant as last option.
We moved him to Hyderabad Yashoda hospital for lungs transplant, he was air lifted since he was on ventilator support.
Shailesh was admitted to Yashoda for 2 months, he was on ECMO support and since he was not showing any recovery we moved him to KIMS in Hyderabad.
At KIMS Doctor's waited for normal recovery for sometime, but he was not showing any recovery and his condition was deteriorating day by day, so Doctor's decided to do his lungs transplant on 10th Nov, although his body was not strong enough to handle lungs transplant, but that was the only option left.
Right now he is discharged and taking further treatment at home, we still have lot of cost for medication, he needs full time assistant boy, he needs to visit KIMS for regular bronchoscopy and physiotherapy. He had lot of muscle loss due to long hospitalisation, Doctor's are expecting he will need 2-3 months more to get back to normal life with proper medication, diet and physiotherapy.
Expenses so far are close to 2.5cr, might need 20 Lacs more for further recovery.
To get Shailesh back to home to meet his Son Parth after 7 months of hospitalisation was no more than miracle.
His wife Sneha stood strongly without losing any hope.
Managing this much amount was almost impossible but thanks to all the supporters and his employer HILTI for helping.
