Sejal, our 11-year-old daughter has always been a multitalented girl. blessed with a creative mind, she paints, dances and is a leader and a topper in her class, aspiring to be a doctor and helping the sick in hospitals when she grows up. Little did we know that she would end up in a hospital fighting a serious disease we never heard about. Our dearest Sejal has been diagnosed with a blood cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) for which the immediate and temporary treatment is painful and regular blood and platelet transfusions followed by chemo and finally a Bone Marrow Transplant which will allow her to live and achieve her dreams.
The good part is that Sejal’s positive and optimistic attitude towards life helped her face difficult chemo cycles and she is an inspiration to kids going through similar diseases.
The tough part is that the treatment is expensive costing around 40 lakhs. As regular salaried people, we ( her mother Shikha and father Mohit) have scrambled through our savings and resources to gather 25 lakhs from savings, family and friends but still need around 15lakhs to keep Sejal alive.
Hence this call for help to open your hearts and help Sejal live, inspire and
achieve her goal.
The need is genuine and the treatment costs are in the supporting documents below. Also we have partnered with CanKids KidsCan (The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer in India) which has vetted our case so all donations are eligible for a 50% 80g tax deduction and they will make the payments directly to the hospital.
Shikha and me look forward to your generosity and goodwill. So please donate
and definitely spread the word.
