Sahyadri Adivasi Vikas Pratishthan is a residential school for intellectually challenged children in Chinchvali, Karjat. It was established by my father, Shri Dilip Jethe in 2004. The school was set up in recognition of the need for education and special training facilities for intellectually challenged children in and around Karjat. The school is managed and run by a team of well-trained staff who are deeply committed to the welfare of special children. The students are imparted knowledge and training which is useful in their life and society. Skills imparted at the school include self-discipline, personal hygiene, empathy, social skills through various cultural events, educational development, and rehabilitation, among a host of other day-to-day activities. The school has an established infrastructure to accommodate regular check-ups by doctors, psychiatrists, communication experts, and special education specialists and we monitor each student’s progress.
For the last 14 years, the school was up and running in a rented facility with the help of generous donors like Maru family. Mr. Purushottam Maru and Late Mrs. Maru.  But in order to extend our services to more children and provide them with a hassle-free experience, we have decided to build our own dedicated facility. And for this, we require all the help that we can get. Please help us help them!
