What is the motto?
Where the funds will be utilized?
The fund utilisation will be as follows:
1. Ecology Restoration(40%) - Forest fires & construction contributes a major portion of green cover erosion in mountains. Our volunteers spreading across complete Himalayan belt ensures that the forest cover will not be depleted.
2. Waste Management (30%) - While the government's are responsible for managing the waste, however the biggest issue of managing waste in mountains is that we do not have segregated waste disposal bins and therefore, wet and dry waste gets accumulated together making it difficult to manage. We will be setting up segregated waste bins at every 1-2 kms to ensure that the waste is segregated properly so that it can be recycled properly.
3. Wildlife care (30%) -Wildlife is an indistinguishable element of the mountains however, they have never been cared. We will be working with Wildlife Institute of India to support development of local wildlife.
How you will know where your money is spent?
We provide exact details of the funds donated by you through an email so that while you are relying on us, we usher the trust in the activities we undertake.
While we have so many NGOs which are doing tree plantation drives, waste picking drives etc., however, no organisation is making sure that the activities they are doing is not a one time thing. While the NGOs plant a tree, they never manages it or they do not plant it on the land owned by them. We at The Sustainability Foundation promise to bring a change which is not temporary but a permanent one by identifying the private places and getting those activities undertaken based on a formal agreement so that it is not just the brand building exercise but makes a real change!!!
