This campaign has started to collect funds for the daily wage laborers, old aged people, disabled, underprivileged pregnant women, children and orphans who are struggling to cope with this evolving economic crisis due to COVID- 19 lockdown and creating awareness about this disease.
SAVERA FOUNDATION is putting its efforts in this tough time to respond to this global health emergency that could threaten the lives of vulnerable poor marginalized families. It requires the support of the masses. Hence, we require funds for it.
The funds collected will be utilized among the most vulnerable marginalized poor families of 2 districts of Jharkhand state. These individuals and families are one of those who didn't get any benefit from government schemes. eg. those who do not have a Ration Card, BPL Certificate, Disability Certificate and other documents to avail government schemes.
Around 1500 families will be benefited from this campaign. The two districts targeted are Koderma and Giridih in Jharkhand. The process of operation in this harsh time would in the following manner with proper and authentic utilization of every single penny collected through this fundraising campaign-:
1. We are trying to help those marginalized community by providing them GROCERY PACKET that can support their family for approx 15 days or more than that.
2. This GROCERY PACKET would contain 12 Kg of Rice, 3 Kg of Pulse, Oil, Spices & Salt, 5 Kg Potatoes, 1 Kg Soya bean, 5 Soaps, 5 Masks, and one pamphlet having awareness over coronavirus.
3. Give sanitizers and the process of using it.
The Government is too seeking help of Civil Society Organizations in this crucial time as they are deeply rooted in local communities and positioned in such a way to lead long- term plans to stop COVID-19. Your donation to this fund will help build stronger response capcities in communities around Jharkhand state so that we are all better equipped to face future outbreaks.
SAVERA FOUNDATION is registered under Society Registration Act, 1860 in June 2006. The organization has deep experience working in rural villages and tribal communities. These two districts were mica prone once but now few residues of mica are leftover which the daily wage laborers used to dig and pick and run their livelihood. Now due to complete lockdown, it has resulted in a huge crisis for them.
SAVERA FOUNDATION will send you regular updates of the campaign through email and Facebook posts. The information would also be updated on our website.
Also, it is important that our organization ensures the protocol of social distancing and safety measures issued by the Government. Before distributing food and other items local administration would be consulted and we would take necessary permissions. We would also ensure that the supplies should reach those who are in real need.
