Welcome to our little wonder school 'Sardar Kanhoji Angre English Medium School' in Pune, Maharashtra. Here you will find children with the brightest of minds and the loudest of voices, hopping and dancing in the hallways. Unfortunately, the global pandemic has made our children suffer, not just because of the health crisis but also in their education. A year and half of student absence in classrooms resulting in loss of instructional hours for the children.
Meet the team! We are the Teach For India fellows(otherwise called fondly as didis and bhaiya) that work in this school.
A strong, abled team of 6, who never cease to amaze with their hardwork and persistence through the million challenges.
Needless to say, an extremely talented and creative bunch.
We work with students from Grades 3 to 7 and their parents.

(Smiles post a football match)Through these efforts by our didis and bhaiya, we have been able to bring our students back to school in adequate numbers. But the struggle is not over. The school and its infrastructure has suffered mighty.
Why are we here?
1.The school does not have sufficient number of washrooms. We have one washroom , a few meters away from school. We are working on building new toilets for our students (on priority).

2.Our children have grown up and our classrooms need new benches and chairs to accommodate our 'Back to school' kids.3. As well as uninterrupted access to electricity and filtered water.
4.The library and computer labs haven't been used and needs to be reserviced and restocked with books and devices respectively.
5.The playground needs to be redone and also sport equipments to get our students back on ground.
6.Access to menstrual hygiene products in the school.
7.To buy new stationery and learning materials for the students to enable better physical classroom learning.
8.Access to internet in the school campus, as we need to enable classes for students who are still unable to make it to school.
9.Access to first aid resources for the students and the entire faculty
