India has witnessed an unprecedented second wave of COVID-19 that has brought the Indian healthcare system to its knees, with the shortage of oxygen cylinders and concentrators proving to be a nightmare of unfathomable magnitude. The pandemic has claimed over 200,000 lives since the beginning, and the current active caseloads are over 3.5 Million. An estimated 700,000 people are currently in dire need of hospitalization with oxygen, including ICUs.

Sankalp is a student-driven organization at Iowa State University that supports grassroots development in India. To do our bit, we have joined hands with ‘CovidCare’ to raise funds and get as many oxygen concentrators in good working condition donated/refurbished or new and ship them to India for the people in need.
