On the night of October 31st, the e-bike outside Mr. Sandip Samanta’s house was charging. The battery blew up and there was a nearby bike with full tank, which exploded as well. The fire spread through their house and burst the kitchen cylinders.
Sandip Samanta, with his father, wife and son was inside the house . When he heard the explosion, instead of leaving the house, he immediately rushed upstairs to ensure his family’s safety. His father, wife and son are all safe thanks to his brave and selfless act.
Their house and belongings are in ashes.
His wife and son are staying at his friend’s place in the neighborhood. His elderly father is admitted with lesser percentage of burns.

Sandip is known all over his neighborhood for the innumerable acts of kindness that he does regularly. You will always find him with a smile, eager to help you in any hour. It is for him that his neighbors did not let his family even stay with their relatives- they want to give back to Sandip during his hardest battle yet, as much as they can.
His good deeds and ever generous nature are what has brought his family and friends together to do our best for him.

While he battles for his life at the Burns ICU of Desun Hospital, Kolkata, West Bengal, it is now our turn to do for Mr. Sandip Samanta what he would have done for you in a heartbeat.
