Sandeep Kandaswamy is a 35 year old from Hyderabad, married and has a 2 year old daughter. He is used to work at a Jewelry shop in Hyderabad and one day (Jul'18) he was going to work on his two wheeler at normal speed and his vehicle got skid due to wet road conditions and an auto rickshaw coming in the opposite direction hit him in the front and he immediately lost the sensation from below chest level.
He was rushed to a nearby private hospital and undergone a surgery to fix (with screws) the Spinal cord minor cracks, but unfortunately that did not made any difference to his condition. Since, this did not work, Doctors later told him that there are no other medically proven treatments available to completely cure his condition. So he has to continue to hope and explore other options for rehab and treatment. Today, he is completely dependent on others for all his routines and getting physiotherapy treatments to gain back the motion in his legs.
He has his wife, 2 year old daughter and mother who are dependent on him for livelihood. He has spent all of his savings and borrowed funds on his surgery and other treatments so far and now he needs to raise the funds in order to continue the rehab efforts in the hope to improve his condition to at least be able gain some employment so he can earn livelihood and take care of his family.
