I am Sana Sachdeva, daughter of India. This amazing country has everything but one major thing is missing. Respect for women, and that's also because women don't respect themselves. Woman Empowerment, everyone is talking about it, but how do we actually do it. When a young girl gets periods most of them don't even know what is happening to them. And they are treated differently during those days. That's the very point they start losing respect for their body. Instead of celebrating this beautiful life making process it's considered taboo. If we really want to empower women we need to educate them about their body. They have no idea that this beautiful process is the very thing that creates life. If periods stop life will stop. Females are gift to the humanity and this process is the thing that makes them special. They need to know this and value themselves, instead of feeling bad for bleeding every month. Also because of lack of knowledge and sanitary solutions most of the girls drop out of school after getting their first periods. A lot of female get life taking reproductive tract infection due to lack of sanitation and right help. Awareness about menstrual cycle is very important and the first step towards woman empowerment. Help me educate girls and women around India about this beautiful process of periods and also about the beauty of their body and the most important thing how to manage hygiene and sanitation during periods. I go to slums and villages and take their workshop on menstrual health management, we also give them sanitary napkins and menstrual cups to try. Menstrual cup and sanitary pads donation will also be very helpful. I am working on individual level right now, soon I will be registering my NGO. But till then I don't want to waste anytime. Also I'll be sharing detailed report of where we put in the money so that nobody feels there hard earned money is going to the wrong place. Thank you so much.
