Compassion in Action (CIA) is a not-for-profit organization, operating from India, we work to transform lives of many helpless people of our society during times of disaster. we work in association with individuals, donors, other NGO’s and companies — to create greater impact to our society.
We operate under 3 Wings
Medical Wing – Organizing medical camps to the rural villages through reputed hospitals. Organize mobile diagnostic centers. Support health awareness programs. Currently we have a dedicated workforce of young and energetic youth who help remotely and assist covid patients in and around Bangalore, help them with information on oxygen, medicines, hospital details, availability of beds
Educational Wing - Supporting children’s education by enabling them join a school by working with them training Computer classes and tailoring classes in rural part to uplift the society. Spread general awareness.
Social Wing - Support and help the people in distress situation and support them on their livelihood to have a better living. Support people in need during natural calamities, disaster or in any crises.
Our strength is a dedicated number of volunteer force who are well equipped and educated to handle any critical situation and help the masses during disaster, we have excessive experience in handling Flood situations during cyclones in Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka in the last couple of years.
Current Need
Currently we are providing ration kits for the under privileged, free breakfast, lunch and dinner for COVID patients in many private hospitals, free food for police, cab and auto drivers, construction workers and Pourakarmikas to mention few. Until now we have been doing this with the help of close friends and their networks, currently the need of the hour is more, we are running out of supports as the effect of 2nd wave of covid-19 has decimated many family and friends family, we are looking for crowd funding where we expect your support so we can continue to server the needy, we will keep updating our activities and updates in our Facebook page which is mentioned below, looking forward with any contributions however small it might be it will be a great help at this time of disaster, Hope we can do it together and uplift the needy.
