There are numerous clusters of migrant workers from states like Tripura and West Bengal stranded across Tamil Nadu. These people who worked hard all their lives have all lost their source of income since the lockdown and have been living on the bare minimum for almost four months. While they have been trying to get back home via trains, after several unsuccessful attempts, they are still stuck here. They cannot afford to book flights and that’s why, we, a group of four journalists is trying to raise money so that they can go back to their loved ones.

Our target is to raise sufficient money so that we can book flight tickets as soon as possible for these migrant workers back to their hometown. Apart from the flight tickets, all remaining funds will be distributed among these workers which will help them in a big way. We will update all our donors on every development and will make sure that these migrant workers reach their homes quickly. Even a small donation of ₹100 can go a long way in making a significant difference. While this may not solve all their problems, we at least hope that we can help these migrant workers reach their homes and be with their loved ones at these difficult times just like all of us.
