Ronald is a father of a two and a half year old son. He is 34 years old and had just started taking on the responsibilities every man dreams of taking on. In a most unfortunate turn of events, he has been diagnosed with liver cancer (Multifocal Well Differentiated Hepatocellular Carcinoma) and we are humbly reaching out to all of you to help Ronald get the treatment he desperately needs.
Ronald hails from a small fishing and agricultural village, north of Kundapura Udupi District in Karnataka. Despite limited means, he is one of the most generous and helpful people we know. In search of a better life, Ronald moved to Bangalore to work as a gym instructor at an educational institute and has worked really hard to make a living and provide for his family. After his father's demise, he became the sole breadwinner for his family and his aging mother. He has always led a healthy life and our hearts are heavy with this ironical tragedy. It is unimaginably painful to even consider the possibility of Ronald's condition deteriorating further and we have pledged to do everything in our capacity to help him recover.
As a first step of treatment, doctors have advised multiple sessions of chemotherapy over the next seven months. Depending on how he responds, we may have to consider other surgical options such as a liver transplant. The estimated cost for the first stage of the treatment is Rs. 12 lakhs (approx. US$ 18600). In case the desired results are not achieved after the first stage, the doctors have estimated additional costs of Rs. 18 lakhs (approx. US$ 27900). As it is practically impossible for Ronald and his family to provide for such an expensive treatment, he needs everyone capable and willing to support him.
Given the enormous cost of his treatment, the seriousness of his condition, and the financial instability of his family, we humbly request all of you, on behalf of his family and friends, to please lend a helping hand and support him.
