Lockdown effects, condition, and plight of poor MIGRANT WORKERS is hard to ignore. It is a fact that when the country is in a the midst of a crisis, its the poor that are at its face. It is a fact that they suffer the most. It is also a fact that this mass scale exodus of migrant workers to their home state is filled with extreme exertion and HUNGER.
We are a group of three citizens who have taken a small initiative to serve cooked food packets, masks and gloves to few (out of lakhs) of poor MIGRANT WORKERS on a daily basis in Indore. To stay back at their respective places where they are, barely pay rents and die out of starvation or cover a journey of hundreds kilometres, back to there hometown on FOOT, is a hard choice to make. Some brave ones decide to turn back to their hometowns. These workers are large in numbers , some from cities as far as Mumbai and going to UP, Bihar and various other far off places. Some on bicycles , many of them on foot. With nearly negligible support from the institutions, they are facing many hardships throughout their journey with no food, walking hundreds of kilometers everyday. Although provisions have been made for there travel at few places, they don’t know how to get access to these services. Few have died, some are almost starving to death...

While serving food packets (maintaining atmost precautions) for a few days we realized, that no matter how much we try, we would be able to serve only a few every day. This is not enough. We need to serve more people. So far, we have been able to serve 250+ cooked meals. But we need your help to continue our work! We have uploaded the estimated budget below.
With our contribution in the CRUSADE to defeat the hunger of these Migrant Workers, we request Indians to look at the Plight and Contribute towards the Noble Cause.
