Hello, I'm Rohit Raj, from Bihar,India. I have  certificates from NASA. I was also selected
among 17 students across the globe to attend a workshop at Perimeter(world’s best theoretical
physics research institute). I'm also a Citizen Scientist with NASA working on classifying data
from TESS satellites. I also attended a course from Stanford University and got a referral
from it's renowned physics(L.R. Langerstrom ) professor. With the guidance of amazing people and through my
hard work I got a full scholarship in Juniata College,USA. I'm currently studying Calculus 1 at the
University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania( on full, frontline worker scholarship through Outlier) but I will transfer credit to Juniata as they are giving a full
scholarship. Juniata has a joint program with Columbia University,New York(ivy league) and I
will enroll in that course. Although the scholarship is worth 1.5 crore it doesn't cover my travel
and other small costs. Most of the application work I completed through my smartphone which
now hangs too much. To shift to a totally new hostel, I will need some basic things,books, as it
will be my new home. Also there are other costs of bags, clothes (snow jackets, boots etc.
which cost a lot). It's a very cold place so I need warm clothes also for going to class daily. Also
there are travel costs inside Usa to reach my college from the nearest international airport.
As this will be my 1st trip on aeroplane plus 1st time abroad so I don't have exact idea about
costs, total cost to shift to hostel maybe a little more but I tried my best to get a minimum rough
estimation.
I can't afford this much, my father is a clerk and due to his serious health issues most of his
income goes in his treatment. He is the only earning member.
I want to become a great theoretical physicist and bring breakthroughs.
My visa is already approved as I had excellent scholarship ,so I just need to book tickets for the trip.
